I’ve never heard before,
I feel nostalgic for times I never lived through...

I'm interested - why so?
I’ve noticed this feeling more than once,
but I didn’t know its name.

And I think that anemoia is necessary —
not just because you’re living a beautiful moment,
but because you’re also learning about this feeling
and the times when people lived as they did then.

This knowledge is not a mistake.
It’s what your intuition tells you —
the emergence of an infallible feeling that cannot be ignored.

Perhaps we have lived more than once,
perhaps we have been reborn,
so our souls may know of those times.
But since we cannot remember our past lives,
we are left with this feeling.

Therefore, all we can do now is analyze it logically,
compare it intuitively,
and explore the aesthetics of that time
through the feeling called anemoia.

Küçükken cerrahi onkoloji doktoru olmak isterdim. Ben zaten bir doktorun kızıyım. Çocukluğumun geçtiği 90lı yıllarda sık sık elektrik kesintisi olduğu için anaokuluna pek gidemedim. Dediğim gibi, annem bir doktor ve anaokula gitmediğim zamanlarda onunda birlikte işe giderdim. Hastanede çok şey gördüm ve öğrendim. Giderek tıp bilimini sevmeye başladım. Hem de tutkuyla.
Bir kaç yıl sonra annem kanser oldu. Ama bizim için bir mucize oldu ve Allah'a şükür annem iyileşti. O zaman kendimle ilgili bir karar verdim. Cerrahi onkoloji doktoru olmak istiyordum. İnsanların yaşamasını istiyordum. Onlara yardım etmek istiyordum.  Zaten her zaman yardım etmeyi sevdim. İnsanlara iyileşmeleri için bir umut olmak istedim. Sadece bir umut, bir gülümseme ve yaraları iyileşsin. Bu kadarı yeterliydi. Bilirsiniz.
Üniversitesideyken hep tıp kitapları okuyordum. Açıkçası halâ okuyorum. Size biraz tuhaf gelebilir, tıp öğrencisi olmayan birinin tıp kitapları okuması. Olsun! Bu benim tıp hakkında çok şey öğrenmemi sağladı. Eğer doktor olsaydım, akıllı ve mükemmel bir doktor olurdum. Hayat her zaman istediğimiz gibi olmuyor. Bu yüzden bazı şeyler beni yani doktor olma kararımı değiştirdi. Ben size şunu söylemek istiyorum:"Bir  şeyi çok istiyorsanız her şeye rağmen vazgeçmeyin. Vazgeçmemelisiz. Hayalinizin, hedefinizin peşinden gitmelisiniz. Bence insan hayal etmeli, iyi şeylere ve mucizelere inanmalı. Mucizelere inanırsanız gerçek olur. Olsun da... Bir mucize olsun da hayallerimiz gerçek olsun!"
